How to calculate it

Enter your lawn dimensions to get rolls or pallets of sod to order.

Rolls = Lawn area (ft²) × (1 + waste %) ÷ 10

Source: Sod is sold by the square foot, commonly in 10 ft² rolls or 450 ft² pallets (coverage varies by farm, 400–500 ft²).

Worked example

A 20×15 ft lawn (300 ft²) with 5% waste = 315 ft² ÷ 10 = 32 rolls, or 1 pallet (450 ft²).
